  • This program provides anti-suffocation pillows to the underserved residents of Shelby and Desoto County. The benefit of having an anti-suffocation pillow in each home is to prevent Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) or injury of the person suffering seizures. 

  • This program offers age-based support groups twice a month for both patient and families living with epilepsy. Our support groups are hosted onsite at Germantown Methodist Hospital; there we provide first-aid and educational packaging for each new attendee per session. This Program is designed to uplift, encourage and educate. Providing social support groups for our teens, adolescents and adults is extremely important. 

  • We encourage our children and teens that education is important and that – “You may have epilepsy, but epilepsy don’t have you” We encourage teens to strategically follow their physician’s medication regimen to decrease the probability of seizures occurring. 

  • This program provides direct access to healthcare and navigates the complexities of finding a healthcare provider, benefits, insurance, access to coverage, and employment. This program assists patients in applying for SSI benefits, health insurance, and housing. These programs are free of charge to residents of Shelby and Desoto County.
